Danny Bertollo, owner of Futuro Avenue, is an innovator in the Real Estate Media space, more specifically in the realm of real estate video. Beginning his career back in the early days of real estate video in Australia, he pushed the boundaries to innovate upon the outdated style that was flooding the industry at the time and placed a heavy focus on the principle that it's not so much about WHAT you deliver because it's a given the content should be outstanding, but HOW you deliver to the client that really counts. This led Futuro Avenue to become a dominant force in their market and responsible for elevating the businesses of some of the most powerful real estate agents and brands in their market.
After amassing significant views across YouTube for his real estate videos while scaling his real estate video agency, thousands of people were asking, "How are you doing this?". This was the birthplace of The Property Videographer, which is where Danny endeavoured to work hands-on with property media business owners to not only turn them into some of the most influential property videographers in the world but also get them delivering faster, more efficiently, and more profitably than anyone else in their market.
Throughout the process of working intimately with hundreds of property media businesses, he uncovered crucial first-hand insights into the biggest problems real estate media businesses are facing in 2024, most notably the race to the bottom price war with competitors, agents expecting more for less, and the chaos caused by waste and complexity in the video delivery process. This sparked an obsession to shift the importance away from just delivering "cool videos" to diving deeper than anyone has before into how any real estate media business should be combating these issues and see success in 2024 and beyond. Ultimately, giving them more time and less stress to actually deliver better quality content, which when you boil it down is why most of us started in the first place... to create amazing content.
Danny has developed a multifaceted understanding of the nuances of our industry and has an immense passion for the future as he continues to influence real estate media business owners to think differently about their business and think outside the box. His ethos is, with passion comes speed, agility, and an anxiousness to get things done. And in this game, that is crucial to success.
The Real Estate Video Masterclass:
Every nuance of how to deliver higher quality property videos faster and more efficiently than you ever have before.
In this workshop Danny Bertollo from Futuro Avenue will be pulling back the curtains on not only how to create the new age style of property video, but deliver faster and more efficiently than ever before by stripping waste and complexity and approaching it like a science.
In the one day interactive workshop we'll dive into the key concepts:
- "Wine is made in the vineyard". Even the best winemaker in the world can't make an outstanding wine from a sub-par crop of grapes and in our game even the best editor in the world can't create an outstanding edit from sub-par footage. It all starts at the shoot. Danny uncovers the 4 key shot types that make property video shots infinitely stackable, creating relentless speed in the edit room. Attendees will get hands-on experience in gimbal setup and control, the key to the ninja walk, understanding the concept of threading the needle, and dialling in runs for super seamless speed ramps as well as how to nail the shoot as confidently as humanly possible.
- The art of sequencing. Navigating spaces and approaching the edit with power and precision. In this demo Danny will break down property floorplans live, highlighting the key repeatable shots in every home, equipping attendees with confidence when approaching their next shoot.
- Stylisation of the edit. Breaking down the cherry on top, the transitions. Where and when to use them and how to use them tastefully. Creating impact and engagement, leading the viewer through the space whilst creating a sales tool first and foremost.
First Half of the day:
- The theory behind the "Stack like lego" shooter concept.
- Understanding sequencing, how to approach any property configuration with confidence.
- Live student video breakdowns, the good, the bad and the ugly. What makes an outstanding property video and what makes a mediocre one.
Second half of the day: Shooting a luxury suite at the palms.
- Live demo of the 4 main shot types with the opportunity to experience real life critique on gimbal control, confidence and nailing the runs.
- How to walk away from the shoot feeling like you captured everything you need to create a banger edit.
- Identifying shots in the space with speed and precision.
Attendees will walk away with access to the footage shot in the real life demos to practice with at home in combination with access to hours of comprehensive tailored video modules to train themselves and their team.

"It's not enough to simply capture how a destination or project looks, my goal is to communicate how it feels"

Intro and Discussion:
• Gear - keeping it light for travel (what you need and what you don’t, how many
megapixels are really needed, and are shift lenses necessary?)
• Client meetings and initial research (pre shoot call and hotel property prep prior to
photographer arrival)
• What happens after you check in - Meeting the client and the scout. scouting for
entire shoot: deciding on angles, scheduling for light, room availability and guest
traffic. And any additional prep notes for property (because even though you told
them to have beds linens perfected, they’re still not up to par for photography)
Guest Suite Shoot shoot - 2 rooms: living room and primary bedroom
• Framing it up - Establishing hero angle, lens length, height of camera etc (if your
camera is not in the most awkward place possible, chances are good that you’re not
in the optimum position for framing)
• Setting the space - Moving every piece of furniture if necessary, propping and
prepping (some of our linen and drapery hacks & what to add and what to remove)
• Lighting correctly - 5 main setups and reasons to light and the one reason generally
not to
• Capturing the image - How many frames do you really need?
• Client approvals as you go - Ask the right questions and fix it now rather than hearing
you have to completely remove a piece of furniture or change the flowers in post.
Trust me on this one.
Follow-up
Putting it all together - 1 hour intro to the (some say weird) way Brandon works in post
• Pulling RAW selects for processing (ditch Lightroom for this step and save time and
hard drive space)
• Stacking frames in Photoshop and a rough breakdown of the basic process (copious
amounts of coffee and podcasts have saved my sanity)
• Sharing “final” images to client only to hear they have “just a few notes” - sharing
some real life markups for further retouching and subsequent hair pulling
